| Fenix5705-08-04, 10:35 AM | Ok, how important would you say Concentration and Spellcraft are for a Bard? Also is constitution important for them? |
| Salla05-08-04, 10:39 AM | Concentration is critical, because you check against it when casting a spell when distracted or threatened (and try as you might, EVENTUALLY, you're going to get stuck in melee and wanting to cast spells). Spellcraft is pretty good, just for knowing what people are in the process of casting. Constitution is of critical importance of EVERYBODY. Hit Points=Life. |
| Fenix5705-08-04, 10:45 AM | ok, but is +1 concentration enough, especially seeing how he's for a level 1, high roleplaying campaign |
| Ving "Fish" Flotsam05-08-04, 04:22 PM | If it's a high RP campaign, then shouldn't you just be asking yourself, "Is my bard the sort of person that would possess a notable ability to concentrate?" and "Is my bard the sort of person that has experience with magic and is capable of recognizing spells as they are being cast?" That being said, a final score of +1 to your concentration check isn't much, but you might be planning to increase it as a secondary skill and try to avoid casting in combat. |
