What would be my best option for a build like this. They seem to be two classes that would jive, flavor wise, exceedingly well together, but little to no material (That I've seen) really supports this combo.

What kind of character do you want to build?

More details would really help us to help you.

Without any more information, a strong build could be Bard7/Rogue3/Sublime Chord10.

A Bard 19/Rogue 1 is in many ways a more optimal character for an adventuring party to have than a Rogue 20.

As far as flavor goes, I don't see anything which would suggest major inconsistency (they didn't used to be different classes: bard was a subset of thief as I recall).

Now if your character is geared towards dealing damage in combat, then rogue is probably better, but when it comes to supporting the party the Bard 19/Rogue 1 comes out way on top. Bardic knowledge, spellcasting, music, with comparable skills, and better will save the bard/rogue just makes life so much easier for the party since it can alleviate adventuring pressures on both the "divine caster" and the "arcane caster."

My next character will be this ‘concept’ but I’m going about it slightly differently.

I’m getting the trapfinding from the Beguiler class…

My Build will be: Beguiler 5 / Bard 1 / Beg 1 / Virtuoso 10 / Beg 3.

9th level spells 11th level bard abilities. Plus with the handy inclusion of the Disguise Spell (cast spells as part of Music) and Subsonics (Enemies cannot hear your music) for the ultimate sneaky/roguy bard!

(Please note this build can be serious improved if using the ‘Prestige Bard class’ from UA.)

Arcane trickster wouldn't be too shabby.

I'm going to incorporate that into my original build suggestion:

Bard7/Rogue3/SublimeChord1/ArcaneTrickster9.

I was hoping for sometig that more or less abandoned spellcasting in favor of more music and rogue abilities, but I actually REALLY like the idea Jaxgaret gave in the post above this one, so I think I'll go with that.

Thanks!

That seems like a good build, though I'm not familiar with the Sublime Chord

It's in CArc, and gives a high-level Bard character a faster spell progression (up to 9th level spells) and access to the Sorcerer spell list.

Just one little change I'm going to make is it's going to be Bard 7/Rogue 3/Sublime Chord 2/Arcane Trickster 8

That way I net one more use of music and and Song of arcane Power instead of an extra use of what is essentially a flavor ability (Ranged legerdemain)

Good thinking.
