Bardic help [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-02-06, 12:28 PM I'm trying out a bard for the first time. He's focusing more on the talking and being buddy buddy with people. No so much on the spells. Although I don't want to be a complete tool in combat.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a prestige class that would let me contiune with my bard progression and let me pick up sneak attack. I don't think one exsists, although I only have the core books and a handfull of the older splat ones.

10-02-06, 06:38 PM Have a look at the 3.5 reference document on the Wizards D&D site, it has a comprehensive list of Prestige classes sorted in a number of different ways.
Also have a look at the Optimization threads, where you will find a comprehensive thread (although a little dated) on Bard builds.

I'm not experienced with Bards but I'm looking at taking Magical Aptitude and Skill Focus Use Magic Devise Feats, maxing out Use Magic Devise, and using my spells in a defensive way (Alter self into Crucian +8 Natural Armour) and stocking up on a pile of Wands to do the damage/buffing etc. You can still do all the Bardic stuff. Spellcasting Prodigy is a must have if FR.
