Bardic Knowledge Adancement [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-03-05, 02:05 PM Anyone know any PrC's that actually advance Bardic Knowledge ?

Most of them seem to concentrate on one or the other of Spells or Music... Or maybe I'm just forgetting something.

08-03-05, 02:50 PM I like to keep it as a little backup usually, as then the other character's can usually keep their skill points away from the Knowledge skills.

08-04-05, 10:18 AM Oddly enough, Sublime Chord (Complete Arcane) stacks bardic knowledge advancement, and is (IMO) the main reason to stick with the PrC all the way through, rather than cutting out to another full-caster PrC after level 2 as most optimizers do. Certainly the other class abilities aren't all that wonderful.

Fochlucan Lyracists (CAdv) also get bardic knowledge, but that class is so hard to actually use in realistic, playable builds that it almost doesn't matter.

The Obscure Lore feat gives bards a +3 to bardic knowledge checks.
