10-16-06, 07:02 AM If there is only one bard, and he keps repeating 1 Inspire courage and 4 Inspire greatness on separate characters, does it stack?
I mean, as these songs last 5 rounds after he ceases singing, if he start a new song (possibly affecting others) the lasting effect remains? If so, he can keep 4 chars at +5 attack, +3 dmg, +2d10Hp, etc, as long as his daily limit is not spent(1/level)...

A: No. IMHO at least. It shouldn't, though some lawyer might tell you yes and be right by RAW.

A: Yes, indeed Inspire courage and inspire greatness stack (morale bonus + competence bonus).

10-16-06, 07:31 AM Inspire courage gives a moral bonus, which doesn't stack with other morale bonuses. Inspire greatness gives a competence bonus, which doesn't stack with other competence bonuses. So the inspire courage effects would stack with the inspire greatness effects, but the inspire greatness effects would not stack with itself. If I remember correctly, only dodge bonuses and some circumstance bonuses stack.

10-16-06, 07:34 AM I mean if you can stack inspire greatness with inspire courage with the same bard and same target character. The bonuses stack, so the question is, if the lingering effect remains when the bard starts a new song with a different effect.

10-16-06, 08:01 AM I don't know if I understand you correctly, but:
If the new song/new effect has a different type of bonus it will stack, otherwise it will not. So if it is a different type as morale bonus in the case of inspire courage, or if it is a different type as competence bonus in the case of inspire greatness, then it will stack with the new effect.
