But after taking a second look (Believe it or not, NWN2 helped :D, despite differences) I thought I'd try one. So I'm seeing two options. Know Everything. Gnome with Trivial Knowledge Feat (roll any knowledge check, including bardic, twice and take best) with a healthy set of of knowledge skills. With Bardic Knowledge and a few ranks in every knowledge skill I can make 2 rolls on just about everything. In circumstances where Bardic Knowledge and two other Knowledge skills apply (In cases such as fiends, where Religion and The Planes both apply) I could be making 6 checks :D Do Everything. Spellscale with Bardic Knack (from PHB2). Knack and Blood Quickenings give a certain amount of flexibility for each new day. One of the blood quickenings provides bonuses to Perform (Storytelling), as well as providing Heighten Spell 3 times per day. So +1/2 my level to my perform checks, making fascinate and the like even harder to resist. In my point buy, Spellscale allows same stats but with +1 Cha. It also frees up that level 1 feat. Each of them take Racial Substitution levels. Without talking with the DM, the level 1 Spellscale Substitution doesn't affect Bardic Knack, of course. Both options are interesting. I'm asking for opinions on which to go with and suggestions for feats to further either concept (Or else just good Bard feats in general) |

Bards get some nice options as they level up, but for thier level 1 and 3 feats they have limited options, best I can see. |
