I have a character ( in one of my games) and his cohort, who are both Bards, so was wondering if their music abilities are considered the same as he assumes they are different.

They are currently singing and playing music together and each grants +1 to hit and damage, do each of their musics stack?

I would guess they are assumed the same as otherwise beware the group of 10 bards all singing over each other to grant each and everyone of them +10 to hit and damage! At level 1!

But wondering if there are any set rules, as otherwise anyone want to start a Bard party?! :D

Thanks for any help. Long time since I've been around these boards!:D

Yes, all the bonuses stack. Acctually, I remember a bard spell that calls 1d4 ilusory bards to play with you.

In my game, during a war, a player that was a bard called up tu 500 friend bards to help. It was so fun :D

Actually no, they do not stack. Inspire Courage provides a morale bonus, since it is a named bonus it overlaps with, rather than stacks with, other morale bonuses.

no, inspire courage dont stacks with itself cause besides being the same thing (two bull str spells dont gives you +8 to str) it is morale bonus.

Buut, it stacks with impire greatness cause gives competence bonus and stacks with heroics that gives an AC bonus and saves.

Morale bonus, that was what I was after. Thanks all!

Shame I was getting giddy ideas of Valkaries in mass armies singing together and charging.

Someone actually conceived it as a plan to have 1000+ 1st level bards pummel the Tarrasque with kitchen knives :D Imagine the unstoppable bard army!

By the way... What kind of goddess was Belldandy originally? I think it was something from the Norse mythology, but I'm not sure at all.

The Norn's name is Verdandi, but became ベルダンディー (Berudandī) due to the difference in the phonetic system of the Japanese language. Later Berudandī evolved into Belldandy to make it sound more European and easier to be pronounced among the Japanese fans.

From Wiki. :)

Ah, so she was a norn originally... I thought it might just be something some fanboys scooped up - although Urd and Sculd don't sound typically japanese either :D

Well they changed her name, and kept the others as they were?

I just used the name for one of my most popular characters. To make Cleric's be known to be powerful and cool.

While multiple Inspire Courage effects won't stack, it will stack with the songs Inspire Greatness and Inspire Heroics if you have bards capable of these songs.

Actually no, they do not stack. Inspire Courage provides a morale bonus, since it is a named bonus it overlaps with, rather than stacks with, other morale bonuses.

As all other bonuses in the game. Sinergy for example, doesn't stack.
