| Muglock11-20-07, 05:27 PM | My friend just asked a question I haven't ever really pondered. Are there any base classes, in any book (tome of battle, complete warrior, complete adventurer, etc). That get rages or some sort of transformation (No f'ing binder or totemist) once per day at level one like the barbarian does? |
| Bluehero11-20-07, 05:31 PM | The sohei in the oriental adventures book has ki frenzy, which fits the bill pretty well. |
| The_Shaman11-20-07, 05:45 PM | Those are the ones that I remember. Are class variants acceptable? I think there are probably some substitution levels or variants that grant it too. Oh, and I don't know if you count it as a base class, but the half-orc paragon gets rage as well. |
| vorpo11-20-07, 06:08 PM | There are many rage variants in the UA. Rage bard etc. |
| bkdubs12311-20-07, 07:51 PM | Actually the only other class I can think of having rage exactly as a Barbarian would be the variant Druid from Unearthed Arcana. There is a Savage Bard in UA as well, but it doesn't get rage. |
| vorpo11-20-07, 08:02 PM | Sorry, let me specify (after digging through materials): Rage Cleric: DR333 pg86 Druid Avenger, UA pg51 Raging Monk, DR310 pg 45 Lunar Rogue (Astrological Substitution level) DR340 pg 55 I guess only one is from UA but there are 3 from Dragon magazine. |

Also the druid alternative in the Players handbook 2 gives you shape shift unlimited times which is also pretty powerful, though you lose your animal companion. Other than those two none that haven't been mentioned |
