| nonsi08-07-07, 08:23 PM | I'm trying to create a combo (without house rules) of battlefield controller and a Tank. I concluded the best way to go would be a combination of Improved Trip/Disarm + Spinning Halberd + Combat Form feats. For the Tanking part I wish to have Evasion and Uncanny Dodge. I also want my character to be as mobile as possible (mainly Climb, Jump and Tumble). For that purpose I deduced the following build: Race: Dwarf - for stability, darkvision and enhanced saves 1st level: Rogue 1 - SkPts buff + 1d6 SA + Combat Reflex 2nd level: Monk 1 (Passive Way variant) - Unarmed Strike + Combat Expertise 3d level: Monk 2 (Passive Way variant) - Evasion + Improved Trip + TWF 4th level: Barbarian 1 - compensating for the dwarf's slow speed + HP + Rage 5th level: Barbarian 2 - Uncanny Dodge 6th level: Fighter 1 - Weapon Focus: Halberd, Spinning Halberd 7th level: Fighter 2 - Improved Disarm 8th level: Fighter 3 9th level: Fighter 4 - Combat Focus, Combat Stability 10th level: Fighter 5 11th level: Fighter 6 - Combat Vigor 12th level: Fighter 7 - Combat Strike Other desired feats on my mind: Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Combat Strike, Greater Weapon Focus: Halberd. Some problems and questions regarding this build: 1. I'm taking a -2 BAB penalty in the process. 2. TWF is useless (unless I take a total -4 hit penalty) for at least 3 levels, but there's nothing to take in between and still make Spinning Halberd by level 6. 2. Is there anyway whatsoever a faster way of stacking the required feats (aside from flaws) ? 3. Would you do it differently ? 4. Is there a better way to go than with a Fighter for levels 12 and beyond ? 5. Is there generally a more suitable build to do the job ? |
