Bear warrior PrC with Tigers [Archive] - Wizards Community

I know i have already read a thread about this situation somewhere in this forum, but i just can´t seem to find it. So, here it goes.

I'm playing in eberron with a shifter barbarian that will take the PrC Wheretouched Master, and after that i was thnking about takint the PrC Bear warrior from the complete warrior book.

But, as I am going to pick the tiger heritage in the weretouched master, my DD thinks that looking at the character it woulf be a bit weird having him transforming in two diferent animals, so i asked him if i manage to "migrate" the bear warrior to a "tiger warrior" PrC if he would allow it, and he said yes.

this migration would consist only in changing the bear types a bear warrior can "morph" (black at 1st level , brown at 5th and dire at 10th) into to tiger types.

can someone help me to get some equivalent tiger's to the bears that are in the bear warrior PrC?? and of course the equivalent bonus granted by each one of them

Red Tiger, from the FR supplement Silver Marches. IIRC, it has 5 hd.

I'd just keep the bonuses the same. All you should be doing is changing the flavor of the class.

are you suggesting it to substitute the Black bear right? i say this by the HD...

i dont have that supplement, ill see if a can ask it from a friend of mine i think he has them...

as for the other bears / tigers what are your suggestions?

brown bear / tiger ?

Dire bear / dire tiger ?

05-16-06, 09:45 AM I do suggest the following rules changes to Bear Warrior:

Change all the shapechanging rules to:
- You gain a bearshape as wildshape. See the druid for wildshape rules.
- Wildshaping into a bear form uses a rage, but you are not raging.
- You may still rage in bear form.

That should cut out 90% of all the bad wording of the class. (I loved playing bear warrior. I hated the writing of the class.)

Looking at the druid animal companion list:
Black Bear -> Leopard
Brown Bear -> Tiger
Dire Bear -> (Nothing)

They do not have a good cat equivalent to a dire bear. A dire tiger is significantly stronger. I suggest starting with a Tiger, then scaling it up a bit to match a Dire Bear.
