Deladrion Garthin 05-15-04, 11:00 PM	Intent vs. Letter of the Rules The Bear Warrior's Bear Form ability is likened to the Polymorph spell in several ways, but in other ways it is different. When a creature is polymorphed, or wildshaped, or apparently bear formed, their magical equipment becomes a part of them and ceases to function. This is fine for the most part, but I have an issue with stat boosting items. Potentially, a bear warrior's bear form may be detrimental to his combat prowess. For example, a bear warrior who wears an item that grants +6 strength, and and item that grants +6 constitution, does not recieve nearly as much benefit from Black bear form as he would from a normal rage. In a normal rage his strength would be 10 higher than normal (including enhancements), as would his constitution. However, in black bear form his strength is only 8 higher than normal, and his constitution actually takes a hit and is only 4 higher than normal (2 less than when not in bear form and not raging). So I was just wondering if the intent is for these items to be included when in bear form. Thoughts?
trapspringer 05-16-04, 07:49 PM	PrC have draw backs, that's why they are so powerful. At higher levels, this point is moot. Dire Bear stat mods are pretty rightous.
