| Sorath06-22-06, 10:51 AM | I have been working on building a Barbarian and have thought about the Bear Warrior as a prestige class. Although, I am unsure as to how the combat side works in bear form as opposed to not being in bear form. While in bear form, do you lose any additional attacks you have gained due to level? Such as a barbarian who gains additional attacks starting at 6th level, you would lose those and only gain the claw/claw/bite? And these attacks are natural weapons and are not inherintly magical (meaning without a druid casting magic fang or magical gauntlets of some type). It would seem to me that the loss of additional attacks due to class level would be a bigger con than gaining the additional strength from bear form (even after getting improved grab from the brown bear form). Thoughts or input? Thanks. |

I've played bear warrior before. Don't worry about attacking. Bear warriors are brutal. They are savage attackers. However, their AC is bad, and you can easily lose 50% of your hitpoints in any given round, even from low-level attackers. As as class, bear warrior is poorly written and often confusing. Fun, though, very fun. Do have two character sheets. The math for bear warrior gets confusing due to the sheer number of little details. |
