09-02-04, 12:43 PM Okay if you become an outsider through a PrC do you gain the benifits of being an outsider, ie. Dark vision, no need for sleep and eating, and cannot be ressurected and such.. The PrC I am talking about is divine disciples transendence..

The answer is no. The Disciple is simply an outsider of the appropriate alignment (they don't BECOME a solar, for instance). All this really means is you gain all the DISadvantages of being an outsider. IE you can be banished, you can't be resurrected, etc.

As a native outsider you can be banished but since you are native, you end up on this plane.

there are many advantages to being an outsider, the biggest of which, and the reason everybody shoots for native outsider template, is the ability to polymorph in to an outsider. Now, when you do polymorph in to a planetar for instance, you can be banished to another plane as since you take up the type of the creature you polymorph in to (according to skip), since you become outsider, not just native outsider when you polymorph.

Want to know for my Divine Disciple of Dumathoin.

In my understanding a native outsider can be banished if the spell doesn't specify back to their home plane. Usually an outsider cannot be banished from his home plane.
