| corpsecrafter05-25-06, 02:03 AM | I want to know what you guys think about a class called the Arc Knight (tentative) which blends all three types of magic, arcane, divine, and psionic (I know it's not really magic, but for all intents and purposes, I include it as magic). My friend and I have been playing with this idea for the past 4 years together and him alone for many more years. Although they are almost 90% magic using, they use a blade (no name yet) to focus their magic through. They learn their magic like a wizard, but cast spells with a spell pool (similar to a psions power points). We plan to base their table on the Wilder class table in the Expanded Psionics Handbook. So far it seems like we're making them a variant of psions, their focus is decided upon by the player. The class is customizable because it has what we call 'Devotions'. Which allow the player to choose a type of magic and cast them for cheaper. Anyways, that's all I can think of so far until I have the class ready and formatted to be posted on the boards. Oh, and don't hold anything back, I hate sugar-coating. :) Thanx MCL |

Would that be similar to school specialisations (all necromancy spells cost less, for example) or would it be a larger range (all electricity spells cost less). Arc Knight is quite a nice name for what you're going for. I have been waiting for a more martially based psion (that doesn't call itself a psychic warrior). When you post, i'm sure to have a look. |
