I'm curious to see what spells people think are the best choices.

1) My DM is allowing these sources. Core, Player's Handbook II, Eberron Campaign Setting, Races of Eberron, Complete series

2) To make this thread more helpful to others feel free to offer ideas from other sources too.

One spell a few people agreed on was Instant Diversion - RotD - Pg113

Thanks for the help

your first advanced learning is going to be a level one spell the PHB, PHB2, and Complete books don't offer a whole lot of great enchantments/illusions at level 1 (i have no idea what's in any of the Eberron books), but if you can get access to Dragon Issue # 325 it has a article that is full of low level enchantment and illusions geared towards sneak and manipulative types.

also at the higher levels there are 2 enchantments of note in the Dragonmincon(sp?) The Book of Dragons, one allows you to put enemies to sleep reguardless of hit die levels, the other has 3 or so different powerful mind altering effects. I think it's called Hiss of Madness.
