| Melik07-04-06, 10:59 PM | Been trying to construct my first Beguiler. The concept is shaping out to be a shady dungeon-delver merchant. Gnomish, and NE. I was trying to work in some PRC after levle 10 or so, Daggerspell mage just fell short for me; the whole any non-evil thing did it in. Also, some ADvanced learning tips, as well as some general spell tricks and combos would be extremely well recieved ! thanks so much in advance |

That's it. The whole career is more or less mapped out ahead of you so that it's impossible to mess up without multiclassing, and to keep you in the same rough power level as those who start as another class and jump into a prestige class at level 5, never looking back. With the new classes, prestige classes are not the best option. Hope that helped. |

| KirkBb07-05-06, 10:35 AM | Hmmm, as said before, your carreer is pretty much mapped out for you, but I would suggest the Extra Spell feat, and grab any spell that you want for that character. |

Then when you hit 8th level you'll be able to cast a 4th level Shadow spell and then you can hop into Gnome Shadowcraft Mage (Races of Stone). At first, this just gives you 20% concealment at the cost of 2 skill points. But by 11th level, your Heighten Spell will allow you to cast a shadow evocation or shadow conjuration of any spell level you have access to. And at 13th level, you get +20% realness on your Shadow spells, making you substantially better as a Warmage than a Warmage is. Thereafter you can hop into Shadowcrafter (Underdark) which gives you more bonuses to the reality of your shadow spells. At level 15 you'll be able to spend a 7th level spell slot to replicate a conjuration effect that is 100% real. That puts you on-par with any summoner ever. If you stay on that road, you'll hit 19th level able to throw Shadow Conjurations and Shadow Evocations that are 130% real. |
