Beguiler/Warmage spells [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-30-07, 09:18 PM If you played a beguiler 2/warmage 6, would the warmage get access to all the spells on the beguiler's spell list up to level 3. I ask this since the spells known are already at that level.

01-30-07, 09:20 PM No. Warmages get spells on their spell list, and beguilers get those on theirs. There is no cross-over unless you play an Ultimate Magus.

Which, for the record, a Beguiler/Warmage can't do, as one class must prepare spells and the other must be spontaneous. Both of these classes are Spontaneous Casters. :)

Yes, I am aware. To clarify what I meant, There are no cross-over for spell lists in general unless you play such a prestige class as the Ultimate Uagus, in which case you must have two classes that qualify.
For example, you could take Warmage/Wizard and get their list to cross or Beguiler/Wu Jen and get theirs to.
I was in no way suggesting that the two classes Beguiler and Warmage together could qualify for Ultimate Magus. Sorry for the confusion.

I know, I'm just a terrible nitpicker sometimes ... plus, I have seen a lot of newbie responses to posts like that that say 'You can do that?', so I was heading it off. :)
