| Epicuris11-17-03, 07:08 PM | With a new campaign starting soon, the PCs got together to decide what we want to play. We've agreed that it is going to be a city based campaign and be story driven. Notice I said story, not roleplaying. There will be an equal amount of hack n' slash and character development (though personally I never really got the the ol' roll vs. role playing arguemtns, but that's a different thread :D ). After listening to ideas of characters and classes being thrown around, I realize we are short a spellcaster and a "socalite." I've decided I want to create a magic-user, but I have also agreed to be the person that wines and dines our allies, the brains or wise advisor of the group, and I need to be able to throw down with the best of them. It is going to focus on mystery culminating in a great war or something along those lines. What I need is help trying to develop a socalite spellcaster in a city setting because... I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO BEGIN! So, I thought I would start some brain storming by hearing your opinions about what classes could fit the role and be competent at it. Thanks for your help. |
