Best crafter class? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-22-03, 07:17 PM What is the best class to take if you want to be able to craft magic stuff (weapons, armor, items, rings, etc). Would a cleric with the magic domain be a good choice. Basically I want someone who can make almost anything.

11-22-03, 11:03 PM A cleric with the magic domain isn't necessarily any better than a cleric with any other domain, item-creation-wise. There is a Craft domain in Deities & Demigods that you may want to take a look at if you've got access.

Other than that, if you're aiming for versatility, I'm thinking Mystic Theurge... two spell lists to work from will let you make all kinds of stuff, though you'll have to wait longer to do it...
