barddan 08-13-07, 03:12 PM	I am DMing for a party of really new players and am looking to make some suggestions for their PrCs. I have a half-elf druid and a human cleric that have asked me for suggestions. Neither character wants their spell progression slowed much. My cleric wants to stress healing and melee combat but with some offensive divine spells as well. My druid really digs the idea of shape changing into monsters or beasts or other creatures that have cool powers or abilities. What are some favorite PrCs for these two classes? Thanks a lot!
IdleAltruism 08-13-07, 03:26 PM	For the druid I can think of only a few, planar shepherd(do not allow this class), master of many forms(it is abusable)(CW), and the warshape(which really isn't that great for druids)(CW). Thats all I can think of off the top of my head for druids. Really druids don't need to PrC out, they can go 20 levels and are probably better off for it. Clerics have boatloads of PrCs to look through. Radiant servant of pelor comes to mind(CD), I like the ordained champion(CC) you lose 2 spellcasting levels but gain some cool abilities from a 5 lvl PrC. Actually both of these classes don't really need PrCs to be very effective.
Aubri 08-13-07, 03:34 PM	The 3.5 "Expedition to Castle Ravenloft" has a cool 10 level PrC, Knight of the Raven, which I really like a lot. Basically you lose out on 1 spellcasting level and 2 levels of turning. In return you get a set of nice anti-undead abilities, an ability that cancels out the spellcasting level loss for light spells, some great abilities to protect yourself and your allies against energy drain, and a celestial raven familiar that can run various types of interference against opponents. Its fluff is tied to Castle Ravenloft and Barovia, naturally, but you could just as easily make a new order to use it. (I didn't get to run the module as the group broke up a little before it, but I'd intended to have the lone remaining member of the order give the party cleric a Relic Holy Symbol that contained feathers from the raven companion of the order's founder, once the PC qualified for training.) The PrC is focused rather firmly on undead, but between the raven and the tricks you gain it's not really any WORSE than straight cleric against living opponents. The illustration is very nice, too -- more gothic (naturally!) than your standard "shiny clanky cleric", in the architectural sense of the word. http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/rl_gallery/100565.jpg
evilsheep 08-13-07, 04:24 PM	if the druid just wants to have stronger wild shape natures warrior from CW isnt bad. you miss out on a little casting but you can add some good offense/defense to your wildshape forms
