| RJstinger09-14-05, 11:58 PM | I'm currently playing a human Warlock/Scout where for every 4 levels of Warlock, I'll have one level of Scout so I can keep my skills high. Right now I'm Scout 1/warlock 2 with the feats Track and Able learner and the invocations See the Unseen and Eldritch spear. My question is, what are the best feats I should take with a build like this? |
| HappyDragon09-15-05, 12:33 AM | What exactly would you like your character to be able to do, other than have excellent skill selection. Just going by the feats you have already, I would suggest something like Urban Tracking as well, but it's hard to say without more info. Why Scout instead of Rogue if you want skills? What things would you like to see your character be capable of in the future? How are your stats, as alot of feats are dependant on ability scores? What is the rest of your group composed of? What type of campaign is it? Help us to help you. :) |

My stats are: str 13 dex 17 con14 int14 wis 10 cha 8 Most of the invocations I'll take will supplement my scouting abilities. So should I just take extra invocations or are there some feats out there that rogue-ish characters cant do without? |

Some of the suggestions straight from the books may be hellpful for you then.....the Quicken Spell-like ability that is suggested for the Warlock could be nice at higher levels. Until then take a look at the bonus feat list for the Scout, there are a lot of good suggestions in there. Going by your stats, I'd be tempted to look seriously into ranged combat feats....Starting at Point-blank Shot and working your way through them, tailoring your choices for what is more called for in the group. If the melee fighters, ( I'm assuming the Paladin is more melee..), are close in alot, you having something like Precise Shot with your Eldrtch Blast could be nice...and it will make the melee allies alot happier with you as well. :) If you're not firing into Melee alot, take something else instead. Another feat that could be nice as a back-up is Weapon Finesse. Pending of course if, and what weapons your character carries with them. Just a few suggestions. |
