| Loopy04-14-04, 03:27 AM | Counterspelling all the way! |
| Lotus Crane04-14-04, 12:20 PM | Actually, my personal favorites are Arcane Fire and Arcane Reach. Spell Power doesn't seem worth it anymore in 3.5; I would have of course voted for Spell Power back in 3.0 when it raised DC instead of caster level. |
| dantedarkstar04-14-04, 02:05 PM | For me, it's: 1.Spell Power (yes, 3.5 version) 2.Mastery of Elements 3.Spell-like ability 4.Mastery of Shaping The last two may be in reverse order. Why ? 1.Caster level matters... a lot. There's nothing like being essentially 1 level higher than you are. 2.This really rules for evoker-type battlemage. 3.Because I always like to have spell-like Greater Dispel Magic, which has no components, so I can dispel even in most dire circumstances, like being silenced/held etc. Also works surprisingly well in conjunction with Tenser's Transformation, when you can actually end the thing when you want (note that TT doesn't have (D) in duration). And it's really useful for sorcerer to have quickened teleport of quickened dim.door as spell-like. That's practically the only way before epic to get quickened spells with sorc. Also, you can go other way, get normal one and take Quicken Spell-Like Ability feat for it. 4.This one is low, because it's real power is rather "evil" and "unfair". Antimagic Field... Other than that useful, but nothing overly powerful, althrough worth it's price if you specialize in area attacks. Hmm... MDJ with holes for the party... maybe it will go up on the list ? Mastery of Counterspelling isn't worth it unless you have reactive counterspell. |
