best low level prestige for cleric [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-04-07, 06:58 PM I was thinking of going Inquisitor at 2nd level. I can't really figure out anything else to be. I don't have "Sun Domain" which keeps my choices down. I'm just killing time till contemplative.

Any suggestions?

I am looking for a persistent buffer type of cleric. I want classes that allow me to get the "+1 level of existing class". I don't want to foresake casting levels to become a tank like a warpriest.

10-04-07, 08:15 PM If you are talking about church inquisitor in Complete Divine, you have to wait until you are fourth level since you have to be able to cast second level spells.

10-05-07, 07:10 AM There are a lot of good PrC's out there for clerics. It would help to know your campaign world, deity, and alignment.

Complete Champion & Complete Divine are good sources to start looking for the right PrC.

10-05-07, 12:40 PM Jradd777 and BugHunter already mentioned the Radiant Servant of Pelor and the Church Inquisitor (two good PrCs from Complete Divine). Another pretty good one is the Sacred Exorsist (same book).

On a side note, that last one can actually cast arcane or divine spells (it doesn't specify), so you can get some interesting "holy" gish builds with it. 3/4 BAB and full casting are pretty nice.

10-05-07, 04:08 PM if you like close combat a bit more, or have to heal your other close combat comrades, try black flame zealot (only for neutral is you want to heal) they withstand the damage they may sustain but its enough to save your fighter from total death.
