| MikEye01-23-07, 09:57 AM | Hello guys. My cleric is a little combat oriented but still does a damn good job healing. Domains are Protection and Destruction But I was wondering... Prestige classes, which are more useful? Right now I like the idea of Curch Inquisitor, but I think that would limit me to staying at churches investigating things. Detect evil at will is nice. Also, I have been looking at War Priest. They roll a d10, while I roll a d8. Mass heal is nice, and so is martial weapon proficiency. If anyone knows about any other good prestige classes I may be able to take, it would be nice for you to let me know. Thanks :) |

| MikEye01-23-07, 11:21 AM | have you had any experience in church inquisitors in campaigns? |
| Repeekluos01-23-07, 11:52 AM | I have played one, and DMed one, and both times had a ball with the character. I got to throw a lot corruption at the one I DMed, and the BBEG in the campaign I played one turned out to be an Illusionist:D If you decide to play one, I think you will enjoy the character. Even if you dont, Clerics of St. Cuthbert are a blast. |

If so, I think you'd enjoy it. It fits the flavor of St C. incredibly well. |

If that is the case, wouldn't most clerics of most dieties not adventure? Maybe it is just a backround thing. *shrugs* Just wondering, thanks :) Merethelian: whaaaaaat? |

PrCs generally involve quite a bit of flavor, and a lot of the time campaign specific material (Red Wizard of Thay). Others may involve organizations that the DM may not aprove of. (Shadowbane Inquisitors/Stalkers) Some classes may be exempt from the always, I guess. Exotic Weapon Master for example. Either way, its better to be safe than sorry. |
| DwarfPcfan01-24-07, 10:44 AM | If your really aiming for a holy person, Sacred exorcist! Cleric5/Church Inquisitor 10/Sacred Exorcist 5, have fun !!! It really builds on common archetypes such as inquisition, battling internal corruption, destroying fiends. As well these prestige classes are great to role-play a very introspective and deep connection to your religion. Here's how I'd go... |
