This thought came up when I was working on a low level wizard and decided to make him a (non-specialist) conjurer. Which core class makes the best summoner? Cleric? Druid? Sorceror? Wizard? Cleric has the (Complete Divine) Summoning Domain, +2 Caster level on all Conjuration (calling) and Conjuration (summoning). Yes +2!!! Druid has Spontaneous Summoning. Sorceror, eh. Well at least they can summon more of them. Wizard can eventually (hopefully) learn many Summoning spells plus isn't subject to the pesky alignment restrictions the Cleric may be. Plus with extra feats, taking spell focus conj and augment summoning isn't as painful. What do you folks think? Cheers.
