If you're familiar with me you know I always put my crunch in before my flavor text, which is coming soon.

The White Guard is a class for Paladins that have awakened their minds into the realization the to truely serve good on cannot always yield to a strick disciplined line of thinking. A ritual known as "The Flames of Purification" is performed on any Paladin who wishes to become a White Guard, to purge all traces of chaos and law from their sole.

Axiomatic Sword

Evocation [Law]
Level: Pal 4
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Melee weapon touched
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

This spell allows you to channel lawful power into your sword, or any other melee weapon you choose. The weapon acts as a +5 axiomatic weapon (+5 enhancement bonus on attack and damage rolls, extra 2d6 damage against chaotic opponents). It also emits a magic circle against chaos effect (as the spell). If the magic circle ends, the sword creates a new one on your turn as a free action. The spell is automatically canceled 1 round after the weapon leaves your hand. You cannot have more than one axiomatic sword at a time.

If this spell is cast on a magic weapon, the powers of the spell supersede any that the weapon normally has, rendering the normal enhancement bonus and powers of the weapon inoperative for the duration of the spell. This spell is not cumulative with bless weapon or any other spell that might modify the weapon in any way.

This spell does not work on artifacts.

Note: A masterwork weapon’s bonus to attack does not stack with an enhancement bonus to attack.

The Following is a Semi-Joke class inspired by a joke someone made about a player requestion a Pink Guard. It is not to be held with the same seriousness as the two above classes

They both look rather cool for PrCs. However, I've got some questions, if you don't mind.

Why does the Whiteguard get Burning Blade and why does the Blueguard get Chilling Blade? It dosn't seem to fit if you ask me, since Elemental Damage dosn't really fit into the whole Paladin thing.

What are the entry requirements for each class?

Blueguard mentions a new code of conduct, could you give details on that?

And this last one is a suggestion: I wouldn't give Blueguards Smite Good. You could give them an ability such as Smite Unlawful, which could damage all non-lawful alignments. Or something similar to that.

I never mind questions. :D

The White Guard gets burning blade because it symbolizes one of the prerequirements for this class. I will add details soon, I promise.

I'll add them after I finish my work on the Gnome and Half-Elf Paragons in my other thread. But here the the alignment requirements:

White Guard: Neutral Good
Blue Guard: Lawful Neutral

Blueguard mentions a new code of conduct, could you give details on that?

So does the White Guard, All I can tell you is it's similiar to the Paladin's Code right now.

And this last one is a suggestion: I wouldn't give Blueguards Smite Good. You could give them an ability such as Smite Unlawful, which could damage all non-lawful alignments. Or something similar to that.

The Idea is they get the ability to smite all alignments other than their own and neutrality.

Ah, if there is fluff behind it with the entry requirements, it's cool. Just seemed a little random to me at first.

Ah, I didn't see the Whiteguard being NG coming, I thought it would be a LG super-paladin.

Yeah, I figured the Whiteguard one was the Paladin Code, but I was wondering if there was any serious changes in the Blue Guard one.

I see. Yeah, I just think, personally, it seems a little off for them to be able to Smite LG myself, but that's just me.

Also, one more though. Spellcasting (Something I occasionally forget Paladins have) for these classes, how does it work?

The entry requirements involve a ritual that purges all traces of (Good and Evil, or Law and Chaos) from the soul, each does it in a certain way that involves fire or ice.

Ah, I didn't see the Whiteguard being NG coming, I thought it would be a LG super-paladin.
Nope! Though I can see how you got the impression based on it's first level class feature. I've toyed with the ideo of an uber paladin... but I'm still not sure. (Gold Guard perhaps?)

Yeah, I figured the Whiteguard one was the Paladin Code, but I was wondering if there was any serious changes in the Blue Guard one.
Not really, the blueguard can use poison that is on the open market... He has to follow the laws of any established nation as long as they don't endanger his duties....

I see. Yeah, I just think, personally, it seems a little off for them to be able to Smite LG myself, but that's just me.
It would be rare for them to use it on a LG person, but on a NG person? Easily possible.

Also, one more though. Spellcasting (Something I occasionally forget Paladins have) for these classes, how does it work?
It doesn't. They gain no spellcasting progression in return for the abilties granted to them, but they retain that feature from levels in the Paladin class.

Minor flavor added, but nothing I haven't said already, I need to find my Info skeleton so I can finish it. :bump:

It would help if you formatted the classes better, and I'd give good Fort saves to all of them, plus half-caster progression.

Oi, I gotta get this project back on track. No, I will not allow spellcasting progression because I do not want munchkins going "Oh looking here, now let me take one level in cleric and get better progression than the normal paladin". And what do you mean by formatted better?
