| MightyDraconian04-07-07, 01:20 PM | A binder can deal SO much damage at later lvls, just gotta take the right vestiges, and it's almost made for a ninja assassin! Bind Andromalius to get Sneak Attack of 2d6 plus 1d6 per 5 lvls, Malphas to gain Sudden Strike 1d6 plus 1d6/4 lvls along with invisibility and poison use, and Marchosias to gain a Death Attack like the assassin along with smoke form and a +16 bonus to Hide and Move Silently! Toss Tenebrous into the mix when you can bind four vestiges and you get deeper darkness and can add 1d8 cold damage plus 1d8/4 lvls after lvl 7, that's at most 6d6 Sneak Attack, 6d6 Sudden Strike, and 6d8 cold damage! Get a dagger with heartfinder and deadly precision on it and theres an additional 3d6 on your Sneak Attack!!! And if you can't get weapon, could always bind Ronove to get Improved Unarmed Strike and deal damage as a monk of your binder lvl (while unarmed attacks being treated as cold iron and magic)!!! |

Look at your keyboard. See what's under your right pinky? Should say Return or Enter or something like that? It won't bite. A binder cannot replace a rogue. They can be a passable skillmonkey at later levels (with enough vestiges bound), but they're strictly support in earlier levels. You're saying that a high-level binder that focuses on outperforming a standard rogue in one small area might be able to do that (eating up all of his daily flexibility in the process), but if the rogue has any sort of optimization in that same area he sails ahead, without needing to focus exclusively on it. Try not to jump to conclusions without having proof. |
