| SirGoodyTwoShoes03-24-08, 10:59 AM | As of now, I am playing a Paladin (5) Pious Templar (4) Fist of Raziel (2). My character is heading in the direction of blackguard, but from a pure RAW perspective, I'd essentially lose all the abilities of my Pious Templar Levels (as a diety shift would be in order) as well as my FoR abilities (being Lawful Good no longer) and could only "cash in" on five levels of fallen paladin with the Blackguard switch-leaving me woefully underpowered for a 12th level character. I have a couple of ideas I'm running by my DM, including allowing Pious Templar levels to remain as they are (presuming I choose a Lawful Evil Diety, since that PrC only requires Lawful alignment) and essentially migrating FoR to an evil PrC by switching every instance of the words Good and Evil, then treating fallen paladin levels as per usual when taking blackguard PrC. Alternatively, I've suggested possibly treating all the levels as Paladin levels (certainly not RAW, but RAI, methinks, since I took them all as a Lawful Good follower of a lawful good diety) and becoming a level 10 blackguard, level 2 fallen paladin (or 9 and 3 to get the next ability bonus from fallen paladin levels). Either way, just looking for thoughts on this, overlooked fatal flaws, possible other suggestions for making a switch to Blackguard with "paladin-esque" PrCs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
