Blackguard vampire Lord [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-18-03, 12:37 PM Both the blackguard and the Vampire Lord (off the wzards site) recieve a bonus to their save equal to their charisma modifier. Would these bonuses stack?

Playing 3.00 if it matters.

11-19-03, 12:35 PM Just like the bonus a paladin recieves, the bonus for the vampire lord and the blackguard are un-named. THe BBEG I'm building has a high charisma, and both the vampire and lord have further boosted it. His saves are huge for a non-epic character.

11-19-03, 12:44 PM Yes they would stack. And indeed, he would be a formidable opponent in terms of saving throws. However his HD will be relatively low because he's going to be 4 levels behind the characters for their CR. Keep in mind 3.0 assumes you roll the stats for your monsters so he might not have an amazing charisma to start. (or he might with a good roll...)
