Blade Dancer (OA) Leap of the Clouds? [Archive] - Wizards Community

01-31-06, 08:47 AM Anyone have any good alternatives to Leap of the Clouds for the Blade Dancer PrC (and for the Monk, for that matter)?

It used to eliminate the vertical height restriction in 3.0, but with the jump changes in 3.5, that ability is now meaningless. The Dragon Mag. OA fixes don't cover this ability.

I was thinking either a big competency bonus, or reducing the vertical jump difficulty from 4x horizontal movement to 2x.

Any thoughts?

It doesn't cover it because that would have been meaningless.

Bigger than the +30 to Jump they already get? I think not.

They don't need more bonuses to Jump, really, they don't.

Dragon 318(Ninja, Great Leap ability) has the ability listed as letting the character always count as making a running jump. I'd go with that.
