bladesinger, good or bad? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Here is my bladesinger from a Faerun campaign:

Moon elf ranger 4/Wizard2/Abjurant champion5/eldritch knightX.

Many will come up with stronger builds, but I prefer to have few and meaningful classes, as well as a progression that fits my characters actions (he was actually a full fledged intelligent ranger, and was introduced to a player wizard or two and...boom :) )

Another aspect of the bladesinger class that is really crap-crap-crap is that they are prohibited from dual wielding, which is sort of what I envision every bladesinger doing. For that, I have created a custom PrC called the Runeweaver, which unfortunately isn't on the i.n.t.e.r.n.e.t

My character though have thus far been highly enjoyable, and perfectly balanced toward the other players (who are non-powergamers).

I could see you taking up to level 3 if you have feats to burn... but in general, avoid. The concept is good, but the execution is ... not good, let's put it at that.
