| Raych12-10-03, 01:45 PM | Bladesong Warrior The Bladesong Warrior is the elite of elven warriors. Only the most loyal of elves is ever taught this special combat style. While the Bladesong Warrior is not equal in military rank to their counterparts, the Bladesinger, Bladesong Warriors are elite shock troops and bodyguards of elven officials and are as highly respected. While not bound by the Bladesinger’s oath to uphold all things elven, Bladesong Warriors often incorporate those principles into their own code of honor and ethics. Any Bladesinger who has also mastered this combat style is truly a master of The Bladesong. Prerequisites: Race: Elf or Half-Elf Base Attack Bonus: +6 Feats: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Improved Critical (longsword), Weapon Focus (longsword) Equipment: Masterwork singing longsword Skills: Perform (dance) 2 ranks, Perform (sing) 2 ranks, Tumble 3 ranks Special: Must be accepted as a student by a master Bladesong Warrior. Also, a Bladesong Warrior may substitute the elven thinblade for the longsword. Bonus Feat: The Bladesong Warrior may select a feat from the following list for which he qualifies: Combat Reflexes, Improved Disarm, Improved Trip, Mobility, Quick Draw, Spring Attack, Whirlwind Attack. Discordant Note: When fighting with a longsword (and nothing in the other hand), a Bladesong Warrior can make a Bluff Check to feint his opponent as a move action instead of a standard action. Sustained Tempo: Longsword critical multiplier increases by +1. Metal Rhythm: When fighting with a longsword (and nothing in the other hand), as a full round action, a Bladesong Warrior may sacrifice some or all of his attacks. For every attack sacrificed, he may later use it to attempt to parry an attack by an opponent. The Bladesong Warrior applies the normal attack bonus for the roll to parry. (E.g. If the Bladesong Warrior sacrifices his third attack at a +3, he applies a +3 bonus to his roll.) The total is his effective armor class for that single attack, but can never be lower than his normal AC. This ability only works against melee attacks. Bladesong Master: The Bladesong Warrior is a master of the form and may now take and train students. Requiem: When fighting with a longsword (and nothing in his other hand), when an opponent is denied his Dex bonus to his AC (whether or not he has one), the Bladesong Warrior gains an additional attack at his highest attack bonus with a melee weapon. Singing longsword: As longsword but costs 25gp. The singing longsword has grooves cut into it that produce a haunting sound when twirled, providing a +1 bonus to Bluff for feint checks. |
