His D&D debut began with him springing from the corner of a dungeon to take on three CR8 vampire thralls, and with the help of his feats (WF and WS Greataxe, Power Attack and Cleave) he sent two to the grave and the other fleeing singlehandedly. I designed him with damage in mind, and he's been given a Str of 18, Con of 17 but an Int of 5 (*sob*), Wis 8 and Cha 9. His stupidity has caused him to have only 8 skill points, which all went into Intimidate. Where should I go with my levels from no on? I wanted to go into Dwarven Defender for the DR/3, AC bonus and defensive stance. The party is stuck in a dungeon full of the undead and might be here for a while, so maybe the defensive stance would be useful for us. ToB isn't allowed by the DM so no Crusader for me. Also, I was thinking of getting Improved Bull Rush then Shock Trooper, but I think the DM will veto that plan because ST is open to so much abuse. I already do more damage than any other party member and ST would unbalance the situation even more if I'm adding 42 damage to my attacks (I take the power attack penalty on my AC, which is 21). Which is why I thought DDefender would be worthwhile, with the AC bonuses to compensate for my lack of shield and defensive stance to help me underground, which is where I'll be for a while. I read about Kensai as a PrC, but BloodAxe is so stupid that the skill prerequisits are beyond him. |

| Mahatma8701-03-08, 02:28 PM | How's this sound? WF and WS (Greataxe) Power Attack Cleave Improved Weapon Familiarity (so I can use the Dwarven Warpike in a defensive stance) 6th level: Dodge, Toughness (both prerequisits for Dwarven Defender) 8th level: Endurance Then into Dwarf Defender. Deep Rift Defender might not be allowed by the DM because I do not own the book and shock trooper would make Bloodaxe too good compared to the rest of the party. |
