Since sorcerers are supposed to be powered by the nagic altent in their blood, I think it's nicely in style, as well as encouraging players to make amusing Fey, Celestial, Draconic and fiendish variants. Has anyone given this a try? Would it be balanced and feasible? |

| The_Shaman12-17-06, 08:15 PM | Several people have discussed it in their sorcerer fixes. So far, they haven't complained that it overpowers the class, even when the bloodline feats that give more spells known (from various Dragon issues) were involved. It shouldn't be a problem. |

It works well if the new feats are...encouraged. I allow Sorcerers bonus feats only choosable from a list of weaker than normal feats where the 'bloodline feats' are a bit superior. Some of my Sorcerer variants are tailored to seriously RP some of the features in my world (e.g.: exiled nobles who force-empower their children in a desperate gambit to recover their lost lands) and function like specialist wizards in some ways. Currently, no one has 'settled' for a normal Sorcerer, and I have 5 who have taken at least 2 'bloodline' feats. Only one has gotten high enough to have 4, a Natural Sorcerer that is able to do a poor imitation of a druid, sans shapechange. I have 3 weeks before I have to produce a few more feats for him. I want to have at least 5 for each line. |
