Basically I just have a few questions on "how melee" my attacks become that I was wondering if I could get clarified...

1)Does this finally grant my throwers immunity to the infinite deflection problem? Can I now throw hard enough that they are melee attacks and cant be deflected?

2)Since this ability does mention i can use feats and other melee bonuses, I assumed this meant I could also use maneuvers and such, but I just wanted to check since their other second level ability is the power to a specific group of maneuvers with their weapons. Are they just listed seperatly since Thunderous takes a swift to activate, so its not quite as free to add non iron heart maneuvers?

3)Can I use this ability to do a running throw version of a charge (and enjoy some shock trooper with my power attack)?

p.s. sorry if this ends up a double post, my first one acted weird and still wasnt showing up 20ish min after hitting post, so i am trying again.

1- not sure but as a DM I would likely consider it melee though with the ability to use melee based abilitys and effects on it by others. That is if someone has an item that grants +5 ac from ranged attacks it would still apply imo.

2- if it does not say you can use other types of meanuvers I would guess that you can not use them at all.

3- I dont think so, the effects of a charge is that it gives you (I believe) +2 to hit with melee after the chage your throw is not melee it just counts as such for bonuses and such so it would not have the bonus. That being said I dont think that it would be too much of a streach or problem for you to do it as a charge.

Thanks for the input.

Even though I never thought about it before this ability made me, It seems like you should always be able to charge with a throw anyway. I mean you take a running start when throwing a javelin right?

If you charge throw from 150' out your just getting a stright bonus to hit with no chance of being hit back in melee.
