“I’m afraid you have it wrong, my friend. It is a hero who rushes in where angel’s fear to tread.” –from a Bon Vivant to a colleague facing an envoy of rushing orcs.

Requirements

To qualify to become a bon vivant (BVv), a character must fulfill all the following criteria.
BAB: +5 or better
Skills: Bluff 4+ ranks and Perform 5+ ranks
Feats: Weapon Focus (any one) or Weapon Finesse (any one)

Game Rule Information
Bon Vivant’s have the following game statistics.
Base Attack Bonus: Good (as Barbarian)
Hit Die: d8
Saves: Fortitude and Reflex preferred
Class Skills: The bon vivant’s class skills are Appraise (Int), Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Handle Animals (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Perform (Cha), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Swim (Str), and Tumble (Dex).
Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Intelligence modifier.

Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Bon Vivant prestige class.

Weapons and Armor Proficiency: bon vivant’s are proficient in all simple and martial weapons, as well as all light armours.

1st) Hapless Defense, Pose (1/d)
2nd) Recklessness
3rd) Flamboyancy, Pose (2/d)
4th) Flippant Disposition
5th) Poise, Poise (3/d)

Hapless Defense: the bon vivant is used to getting by on charm and luck. They receive a dodge bonus equal to their Charisma bonus to their AC while wearing no armour or light armour.

Pose: to the bon vivant, it’s not about how good you are – it’s about how good you look doing it. They may opt to use their Charisma modifier on any skill check a number of times per day equal to the listed number.

Recklessness: the bon vivant is prone to making grandiose actions for showmanship despite the foolishness of the action. They may opt to add their Charisma bonus to their damage rolls (this stacks with any other bonus, even strength) and are immune to feints if they forego their Dexterity bonus (if any) to their AC. This must be declared at the beginning of the round and lasts until their next turn. Keep in mind, they do not become more alert; they simply do not attempt to guard themselves so feints fail. Note: although they are foregoing their Dexterity bonus, this does not make them prone to sneak attacks.

Flamboyancy: the bon vivant is an entertainer and braggart in nature, and brings this attitude even to combat. They may substitute their Charisma modifier in place of their Strength or Dexterity modifier to all attack rolls made with melee weapons.

Flippant Disposition: the bon vivant’s frivolity shows through in all their mannerisms, and has an annoying or unnerving effect on those around them. They receive an Intimidate check against any one individual they are engaging with (combative or otherwise) as a free action once per round. This check cannot use their Strength modifier.

Poise: the bon vivant’s charm is now expressed in how well they recover from debilitating circumstances. They receive a bonus to their saving throws equal to their Charisma bonus. This does not stack with any abilities that duplicate this effect.

Definately an interesting concept, but quite unbalanced at the moment. This PrC could basically turn a bard or a sorc into an unstoppable warrior in just 5 levels or less. I would try to offer some more helpful suggestions, but I have a D&D game to go to in 20 minutes. Ta! ^_~
