Bounty Hunter? some info please... [Archive] - Wizards Community

Is there a Class/Prestige Class for a Bounty Hunter, and if so, what book is it in? Also, is it a 3.0 or 3.5 class? Finally, what is your opinion of it (if it actually exists)? Is it underpowered, overpowered, a pain in the neck, etc...

05-24-05, 10:26 AM There are two decent ones that spring to mind, The Bloodhound and the Justiciar, from the Complete Adventurer and Complete Warrior, respectively. Slightly different takes on it, but both revolve around tracking down people and bringing them in.

Actually in Star Wars it is one of the better prestige classes. You get full BAB, decent saves, 6+int skill points each level, and a decent defense. The abilities also are fairly useful. Overall a good class in my opinion.

And... full sneak attack progression and a d10 vitality dice. It was often "the class" for non-force user ground combatants.

05-24-05, 12:58 PM Although technically, to truly be a Bounty Hunter, you need not have any specific class for it.

Its kinda like an Assassin. There's the PrC for it, but if you kill people for money, you're an assassin.

If you hunt down and capture people for money, well, then you're a Bounty Hunter, regardless of class.

Besides the PrC's specific for bounty hunting activities, rogues, rangers, bards, and to some degree, wizards with divination as a specialization are good for bounty hunting.
