Breath Weapon Question... [Archive] - Wizards Community

I would have breath weapon for many sources, still, could I use only a single one of them only once every 1d4 round? (for example, I use the draconic shaman's breath weapon and them do I have to wait 1d4 round to use one of the talon of tiamat's breath weapon?)

I don't see why one breath attack would affect the others; they're just worded "you can make this breath attack once every 1d4 rounds" or similar, no? Then they wouldn't affect each other, and you can use each of them as often as it says you can.

IMHO. I may be wrong.

12-16-06, 03:28 AM I don't think you could. The metalic dragons have two breath weapons, and I've always seem them run as them both on the same cooldown time 1d4 rounds.

And draconomicon agrees with you, it says that all the breath weapons are on the same timer.

Which dashed my hopes for a dragonborn dragon shaman with a dragonfire graft for all breath weapons all the time character. :)

Related question: If you have 2 breath weapons of the same type (say, Dragon Shaman and Dragon Disciple, both fire), could it be ruled that the damages stack? It's not like the 2-BW dragons, since it's the same element...
