| PsionMage02-14-05, 12:16 AM | I'm a little confused about the warlock's Imbue item ability. It states that if you make your UMD check, you can make items as if you have the spell. If it fails, you can't complete the item. (until next level, where he could try again). the big question arises from this sentence: "He does not expend the XP or gp costs for making the item; his progress is simply arrested" So... you make whatever/however many items you want, (just spend the time) you don't have to spend any money or lose XP. the arrested part seems to be like you would then have an XP "credit" or somesuch that when you get more xp, you really don't get any until that's paid off??? what about the gp? or does being "arrested" mean something else? I guess I can just see players making items and selling them for GP or keeping them for themselves for almost nothing. am I worng? is this in the unofficial errata that I just failed to see? |
| Lord Schpungus02-14-05, 12:28 AM | The way I see it, if he fails the check, he has spent no money or Xp. If he makes the check he still has to pay. That's how I'd play it, even though I've seen nothing about it. |

Its clear if you read the english straight, you lose no xp or use materials only IF you fail, if you succeed you pay the normal XP and Gold cost. Arrested aka Arrest means to STOP... Like Cardiac Rest, being arrested for commiting a crime, etc.... |
