Hi,

Playing a Bugbear in a roleplaying heavy game. I was justing wanting some comments on my current character. Is there any prestige classes that will mesh well with this character. I am trying to avoid taking too many different classes and especially avoiding taking 1 level dips to gain certain powers.

The character:
Bugbear C/N. Kind of a loner who doesn't get along with his kin at his home village. Gets into dispute and decides to leave and "make it on his own". runs into and adventuring party that can use his skills and goes from there.

Other party members:

Gnome sorcerer
Changeling rogue (More "social" skilled oreiented).
Minotaur barbarian
Human ranger (archer)
Human paladin
Dwarven fighter (Who is on and off with his charater due to scheduling conflicts. Basically joins the group evry now and then to adventure. Other times is with his dwarven people.))

Bugbear4/Rogue1/Barbarian1.

Str 18
Dex 16
Con 16
Int 14
Wis 12
Cha 4
These stats already include the bugbears racial adjustments.

I was planning on ending up :
Bugbear4/Rogue12/Barbarian4.

Feats:
1. Dodge
3. Iron Will
6. Mobility
9. Spring Attack
12. Maybe Extra Rage/Extend Rage
15. Maybe power Attack
18. If Power Attack earlier then Cleave.
After Spring Attack I have some question marks.

Weapons.
Great Sword
Long Bow
Dagger

Leather Armor.

Thanks for all the help.

Sorry, one last thing.

I was considering maybe dark Hunter from Complete Warrior. I can change my feats around if need be in order to get Track and Blind Fight (required for Dark Hunter).

Is this a viable option?

Thanks again.

Sorry for this extra post. I don't know how to delete it. My apologies.

Dude, you just posted it today. Give it time.

It is considered poor forum etiquette to "bump" your own thread less than 12/24 hours (depending) after creating it, and you have done so in less than 5 hours.

I will edit this later for content

One note: max out your UMD ranks, as your party is perilously low on healing ability. You will want to carry multiple wands of CLW.

Second note: You might want to get to that 13th level in Rogue, as it increases SA dice and garners a Rogue Special Ability. But that's really only a consideration if you expect to be playing this character into Epic play. Are you?

Dark Stalker is a cool class if you end up dungeon delving and running around in the Underdark. The death attack is gonna have a real low DC, though. So don't do it for that.

Highland Stalker is a cool class that gives you skirmish damage every other level, perfect for spring attackers.

Either way, track is a prerequisite. Take a lvl of Ranger to get Track as a bonus feat, and it won't set your skills back much.

In a party with no healing skills (and my general like of things that grant spells) I would read over the class Pious Templar in complete divine. It could be that it doesn't fit but it brings some badly needed healing spells. This might be better than UMD which will require 22 ranks to reliably activate a wand with that CHA. It also opens up chances to use the wand with no check and bolsters your will save (which isn't going to be pretty without some help).

I'd actually be interested in the possiblity of grafting in Divine Crusader [Healing domain] but the CHA score makes this unlikely.
