| khyron114403-13-04, 01:07 AM | It's not absolutely crucial to all builds, but it might help if you included the intelligence stat too. |
| Father Dale03-13-04, 04:29 PM | I am a Dwarf Cleric of Moradin. I don't know exactly how the 28pt buy system works, but I would suggest dropping str and/or dex and raising Charisma. Or if your INT is over 10, then drop it to 10. Especially if you think you will be doing lots of turning, you will need better charisma. |
| Thermanshs03-13-04, 07:15 PM | I'd say dropping improved turning and picking scribe scroll instead. You can store 1st lvl spells with 12,5 gp and 1 XP !!!The cleric's anti-undead function is powerful enough to need further add-on so no imp.turning(the ability to turn imps!haaha!just kiddin') again. And your skill selection is fair enough although I can see few uses of the knowledge religion one if not for your character's flavor, your heal as well...stabilizing a character needs an orison only while removing diseases a 3rd lvl one,why mess with long term procedures if you can carry scrolls for each occasion? As for your domain selection pick Protection and Earth. Both contain non-cleric spells. |
| Thermanshs03-13-04, 07:17 PM | double post... |
| Zakter03-13-04, 11:43 PM | little update here.. made a few changes to my character see above |
| khyron114403-13-04, 11:46 PM | I ahve no idea what you changed, but you didn't put up his intelligence stat yet. |
| Zakter03-14-04, 12:04 AM | uhh my int is 10 its up in the first post.. and i changed my first feat from improved turning to combat casting. suggestions for feats and skills up to 20th level would be swell. |
| Father Dale03-14-04, 01:17 PM | I'd second the scribe scroll feat. Or be sure to take it at 3rd lvl. But having scrolls of cure lt wounds can be a huge godsend if your party gets into a tight spot. I'd still suggest more charisma though. Its the only way to boost the turning check. And it can helps out in other areas too. I'd say drop the str and up the cha. You'll have spells and stuff to help boost att/dam in combat. But you'll want the charisma for when your not buffed. |
| Thermanshs03-14-04, 02:20 PM | I disagree with pumping charisma,as I previously said a cleric's overwhelming power over undead is enough as it currently stands,so no imp.turning ana charisma scores above 12.Your concentration bonus also is +6 no combat casting required...why select this while you can pick skill focus instead and get a +3 bonus(minor difference) which applies at all times(while combat csasting applies only to cating defensively...big deal!!) |
| Zakter03-14-04, 10:24 PM | wow.. taking skill focus concentration over combat casting should be a no brainer.. Thanks alot for pointing that out to me. |
