| caploup11-06-06, 07:19 PM | I would like to build a golem for my mage, but have no idea where i can find the creation rules for a golem? In which book (3.5) can i find basic rules for constructs? Anyone has experience with building constructs, any tips? Thnx! |
| MachinaDeus11-06-06, 07:52 PM | You can find the creation rules for the basic golems(clay/stone/iron) in the Monster Manual(under their respective entries), as well as the Shield Guardian. Other books containing different creatable golems usually have the creation rules for them as well. |

However, looking over the various golems and taking some time with your DM that shouldn't be to hard to develop. If you are just looking for standard golems then, as others have already said, the monster manuals is the way to start. Like MachinaDeus said, check out the Shield Guardian. It is one of the arcane caster's best friend. |

His AC is all Natural armor so it stacks with a simple armor bonus and a lack of proficiency in armor isn't an issue if you make it masterwork and/or use special materials. Make a Sepia Snake Sigil, Explosive Runes, permanent Symbol and/or Rune (runemaster PrC), etc on him. Give him masterwork gauntlets for the +1 to hit (may or may not work depending on your DM) Tie Thunderstones on his gauntlet Soince he must be humanoid but any other feature is allowed, make his head a chair with an umbrella and you have a mount. |
