Let me start by saying I hate gnomes. I want to build a character that also hates gnomes. Hayes them to the extent that he devotes his life to destroying and killing them wherever he can find them. Only problem is, other than maybe some ranger, I have no Idea how to really go about it. Anybody care to help?

P.S. The race will be either Orc, Kobald, or Goliath.

If your DM allows things from 3.0 that have never been updated, look at Foe Hunter.

Also check, there may be a feat that increases your Favored Enemy bonus against a creature, but I don't know.

Well, though I'm too lazy to help with mechanics, I think you should pick kobold as a race just for pure flavor. Kobolds hate gnomes.

Well, that was slightly helpfull. Unfortunately, no 3.0 stuff.

Go Kobold Ranger. High Str (or as high as you can get as a small dinosaur), Power Attack. Favored Power Attack. Then take levels in cleric, worshiping whatever Kobold Deity it is that sponsors their organized Gnome hunts. Pick up Destruction domain for Smiting.

From there, it's really just finding the best way to squish the little buggers from a tactical standpoint.

In some of my campaigns, I use a ranger variant called Slayer. Choose gnomes as the favored enemy, and you become a gnome killing machine, more than a ranger could be (since slayers have only one favored enemy). Note special abilities such as "Resist the Call" which would be particularly good against gnome spellcasters.

Alignment: Any. HD: d10
Class Skills
The slayer’s class skills are Climb (Str), Craft (Int), Jump (Str), Knowledge (unholy lore) (Int), Listen (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), and Spot (Wis)
Skill Points at 1st Level: (4 + Int modifier)x4.
Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A slayer is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with light and medium armor and shields (but not tower shields).
Bonus Languages: A slayer may choose the racial language of his favored enemy as one of his bonus languages at first level, even if his race would not normally allow it.
Favored Enemy (Ex): At 1st level, a slayer may select a type of creature from among those given on Table: Slayer Favored Enemies. The slayer gains a +2 bonus on Bluff, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, and Survival checks when using these skills against creatures of this type. Likewise, he gets a +2 bonus on weapon damage rolls against such creatures.
At 5th level and every five levels thereafter (10th, 15th, and 20th level), the bonus against the favored enemy increases by 2.
If the slayer chooses humanoids or outsiders as a favored enemy, he must also choose an associated subtype, as indicated on the table. (Use ranger favored enemy table)

Bonus Feats: At 4th level and every four levels thereafter (8th, 12th, 16th, and 20th) a slayer gains a bonus combat-oriented feat. The list of slayer bonus feats is identical to the list for fighters, and the slayer must still meet all the normal prerequisites to take the feat.
Sense the Enemy (Ex): Starting at 5th level, a slayer does not lose his Dexterity bonus to AC when caught flat-footed by his favored enemy. If immobilized or if attacked by a creature that is not a favored enemy, he is still denied his Dexterity bonus.
Resist the Call (Su): Beginning at level 10, a slayer gains a +4 bonus against charm and compulsion spells and effects that are either issued or cast by his favored enemy. Additionally, when under a charm effect, any suggestion that would involve helping his favored enemy entitles the slayer to another save to attempt to break free of the effect, effective immediately with a +4 morale bonus.
Perfect Knowledge (Ex): From level 18 onward, a slayer can inflict critical damage on a favored enemy with the proper roll even if circumstances do not normally allow it, such as alien anatomy, no discernable weak spots, or specialized armor.

Kobold Sorcerer or Wizard = scry and fry.

As Smiley might put it. :detect: :mage:

Actually, Kobold Ranger, with the first level racial substitution to get a +3 versus gnomes instead of +2(and every time you increase that specific bonus, it goes up by 3, not 2) is a very sound option. And taking the 4th level option nets you a dire animal companion with no level adjustment to its power, and some wicked ranger spells.

Looks like kobald ranger it is. Level subs, check. Perhaps a PRC as well..

Well, now there's enough information for me to help out mechanically. I suggest taking a few levels of Scout as well, then grabbing the Swift Hunter feat out of Complete Scoundrel (I think.). This gives you an extra source of damage for your two weapon fighting, which would normally be almost worthless. Improved Skirmish out of the same book wouldn't be a bad idea either.

"But Denubis," you say, "Skirmish only works after moving ten or more feet and I can't full attack after moving that far! Two weapon fighting won't work with Skirmish!"

Fear not. Because you can take Barbarian 1 (An amazing dip level.) and come out with another point of base attack, two fortitude, Rage, and as of Complete Champion, you can trade Barbarian's fast movement for Pounce at level one.

So grab some decent weapons, charge, and Skirmish the hell out of those damned gnomes! How dare Garl Glittergold collapse a mineshaft on your people?

I really like these ideas! Denubis, you have your anti-gnome tactics down pat!

They're smelly, ugly and useless. It's as if they are the bastard child of a brain-addled dwarf and a hippie halfling. That and the whole screwing with kobolds thing. Which puts me on the topic, why in the none hells do they get a bonus against say Blackscale Lizardfolk from fighting tiny little kobolds? A flat bonus against all reptilians is stupid and makes no sense.

I myself am no kobold. I, as my name so states, am a Poison Dusk Lizardfolk. As for your friend Jebbedo, I am sure he tastes fine roasted over hot coals. And about the dragonwrought cheese: Just how do you explain why said kobold waited 120+ years before he started doing anything? I hate that cheese crap more than any other cheese crap.
