I'd love the build an ultra theif... I'm a mage expert with theives I have little idea and where my mages are towers of destruction my theives always turn out weak and usless. I'd like it to be medium sized, Halflings dont excite me, and have an ECL of no more than +1 unless its really good.

I'd like to be great a sneaking, stealing stuff, picking pockets, gambling, stabbing people ... although i have found that more than 5 theif levels is just a waste of time..

does anyone have any good builds with a PRC / Feats ect combo?

Love to hear your ideas.

Here is your problem. If you want your character to be good at the things you mention, you need to concentrate on thief (or very similar PrC) levels.
Sraight thief 20 is not a bad choise.

MENTALLY INCONSPICUOUS [PSIONIC]
You make yourself less noticable to other minds.
Prerequisites: Wis 13+, Autohypnosis 3+ ranks
Benefit: As long as you are psionically focuses, you gain a +6 bonus to your Disguise and Hide checks against anything not immune to mind-effecting effects.

MENTAL DAMPENING [PSIONIC]
Through the power of your mind, you reduce the intensity of the sounds you make.
Prerequisites: Wis 13+, Autohypnosis 3+ ranks
Benefit: As long as you are psionically focused, you gain a +6 bonus to your Move Silently checks.

OUT OF MIND, OUT OF SIGHT [PSIONIC]
You make yourself thouroughly invisible to creatures with minds.
Prerequisites: Mental Dampening, Mentally Inconspicuous, Autohypnosis 5+ ranks, Hide 10+ ranks, Move Silently 10+ ranks
Benefit: While psionically focused, you can use the Hide skill even while being observed. This feat does not function against creatures immune to mind-effecting effects.

And here are a few that might still come in handy:
COURSE CORRECTION [PSIONIC]
You have great control over your hurtles.
Prerequisite: Jump 7+ ranks, Wis 13+
Benefit: You can expend your Psionic Focus during a long jump to change your direction once. You may even use this to jump out and then directly back, but the total distance crossed in your jump can never be greater than your check result in feet.

FALLING WITH STYLE [PSIONIC]
When other succumb to gravity and die, you keep your cool and are able to control your fall better than most.
Prerequisites: Int 13+, Wis 13+, Balance 6+ ranks, Tumble 6+ ranks
Benefit: As an immediate action, you may expend your Psionic Focus to slow your fall. You land on your feet no matter how far you fall, and you take damage as if the fall were 20 feet shorter per point of Intelligence bonus than it actually is. What’s more, you can angle your fall, moving up to five feet horizontally for every ten feet you fall. This feat affects you and anything you carry or hold (up to your maximum load).

LOTUS FLIGHT [PSIONIC]
While in a meditating state, you can lift yourself off the ground.
Prerequisites: Int 13+, Wis 15+, Cha 13+, Autohypnosis 5+ ranks, any nonchaotic alighnment
Benefit: To use this feat you must be sitting in the lotus position and expend your psionic focus as a full round action. You begin levitating by way of mental power. You start 1 foot above whatever surface you were sitting on, and may choose to 'lose your anchor' on a moving surface such as a ship deck, riding animal, etc. You can't lose your anchor on solid ground. Your levitation lasts until you end it, or until you break the lotus position, even if you choose to sleep in the position. You may perform move actions (except run), but nothing more strenuous than talking, sleeping, and general daily activities. With your mind preoccupied in maintaining the levitation, you can't attack, manifest powers, cast spells, use psi- or spell-like abilities, or regain psionic focus unless you end the levitation. If you succeed an Autohypnosis DC 20 check, you gain a fly speed of 10, or half your base movement (whichever is less) at average maneuverability for one round (you may still hover in place). Failing this check while more than 1 foot above any surface causes the flight, and levitation to fail and you fall.

SUBCONSCIOUS CONTAINMENT [PSIONIC]
You have unlocked your subconscious mind to the point where you can use it to hold another Psionic focus.
Prerequisites: Wis 13+, Psionic Body, Concentration 6+ ranks
Benefit: You can spend a full-round action attempting to psionically focus your subconscious. At any time when you need to expend your psionic focus, you can expend your subconscious' psionic focus instead. Psionically focusing your subconscious works just like focusing your mind, except that the Concentration DC to regain it is 25 instead of 20.
Special: If you have taken the Psicrystal Containment feat, you cannot take this feat. If you take this feat, you cannot take Psicrstal Containment.And here's a class that might work best for you if you decide to go psychic: the Psychic Rogue (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b).

09-19-05, 07:58 PM At the moment the Gm Has Told me I have to use Core Classes and PRCs
(I have a habbit of writing my own stuff) So I cant use anything really cool =(

But at the moment I've kinda thinking on going with

Human

Theif 3 / Warlock 3 / DaggerSpell Mage...

While the daggers are a damage issue and the 2 feat prerequisits are annoying I can at least qualify for it using Practiced Spellcaster.

So I get 2d6 Sneak Attack and 3d6 Eldrich Blast (I think) At lvl 6 when I Start out (we're starting at lvl 6)

My fort save is appauling however. I havnt really optimised the buld enough yet lol.

Maybe there is a better prc out there...
