I've started making a campaign world where all aspects of life are determined by religion (I've created a new multiple deity system to make it more interesting), but the world's topography is starting to get samey and stale. How can I shake it up without using the boring "Dark dungeon lies here" label so many campaign worlds are stamped with.
Also, if I was to create a "standard" campaign - that is, no really exceptional features (the world isn't situated on a cloud, it is not shaped like a disc, etc.), will my PC's grow bored. I know them pretty well, but I've never really bothered making a full world before, and I'm not sure how they'll respond to anything too...silly?
Any input appreciated! :D

Sorry, I didn't realize this was the Prestige Class forum (thought it was the DM guide's)
