| msavage09-13-07, 03:40 AM | Just a Newbie question. It states that a Favoured Soul can choose from the Cleric list of spells. Does this include the Domain Spells too? Would an undead themed Favoured Soul with Field of Ghouls as a spell choice be legal? (Field of Ghouls is from the Hunger Domain in Libris Mortis). Thanks for any help. |

| goawayugh09-13-07, 10:21 AM | Nope. Domain spells are not a standard part of the Cleric spell list. You must have access to a domain to be able to get spells from it. |
| foxtail09-13-07, 12:09 PM | Technically, no. But I've always thought they should be able to; it makes sense, being that the FS is pretty much trying to be a personification of their deity, and it would go a long way towards making the class actually playable. |
| Fabius Maximus09-13-07, 05:41 PM | Then you should take the FS's paragon, the Evangelist from Dragon #311. It has the same flavour, but gets 2 domains. The spell progression is almost the same, but the spells known are limited by the 2 domain spells at each level (IIRC). Also, the class gets 1 additional domain (plus spell known) every 5 levels. I think the FS was just a try to tone the Evangelist down. |
