Can a Rogue stack Sneak Attack with a Ninja's Sudden Strike? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Read sudden strike. You can not perform SS while flanking.

If you have Sneak Attack +2d6 and Sudden Strike +1d6 (Rogue 3 / Ninja 1, say), here would be the breakdown.

1) If you catch an opponent without their Dexterity bonus to AC, such as when they're flat-footed or after you feint, you would deal +3d6 damage (since Sneak Attack and Sudden Strike both deal damage to targets without their Dex bonus to AC).

2) If you flank with an ally, you would deal +2d6 damage to the target (as Sneak Attack deals damage to flanked targets, but Sudden Strike does not).

3) This one I'm not so sure on -- You qualify for PrCs that need Sneak Attack +3d6 (Sudden Strike says it counts as Sneak Attack for purposes relating to PrCs, and I see no balance concerns in allowing this, although the rules aren't clear either way).

I also think it is perfectly legal to consider it +3d6 SA for feat/PrC reqs.
