Rojar 02-04-04, 01:17 PM	I'm not sure if this is the forum this belongs in, but I was just wondering if there is anywhere in the rules that clarifies whether or not a Barbarian can rage while exhausted. The SRD states: "At the end of the rage, the barbarian loses the rage modifiers and restrictions and becomes fatigued (–2 penalty to Strength, –2 penalty to Dexterity, can’t charge or run) for the duration of the current encounter " A fatigued character doing anything that would make them fatigued instead makes them exhausted. So, it would seem that fatigued characters can rage. However, I don't see anything under exhaustion that makes the individual incapable of raging after they have reached the exhausted state. I personally would rule that Barbarians could NOT rage while exhausted, but I'm sure someone would point out that it doesn't say that anywhere in the rules. At best, perhaps a house rule would be needed saying that exhausted characters that rage fall unconscious at the end of the rage. Any thoughts?

Rojar 02-04-04, 03:30 PM	See, I wish they had been clearer about it, stating that the progression went from fatigued, to exhausted, to unconscious. Or something like that. As it is now, exhausted just means that you get the penalties to str and dex, and move half speed. I am assuming that you also suffer the penalties for being fatigued as well, despite the fact that the rules don't say THAT either. Well, I wouldn't have the dex and str penalties stack - I'd have them overlap. Hmm, well, any other thoughts/insights? Thanks
