Demonicazura 02-02-06, 06:31 PM	I want to create a class that ascends... im not sure how that works... but maybe taps into their bloodline to draw out a celstial/draconic/fiendish ancestory. I'm not really sure exactly but i want to give the class a more geneal perspective than that and give it like DR, SR, maybe flying and stuff... but i don't know how to without overpowering it, anyone have any good ideas???!
Encard 02-02-06, 07:01 PM	What do you mean by "ascends?" Becomes an outsider? Becomes a god/demigod? Something else? It's a bit hard to give suggestions without knowing that.
Demonicazura 02-02-06, 07:04 PM	most likely an outsider... but in general, just becomes closer to self perfection like a monk almost... but i was thinking more on the lines of physical traits too...

bass_GS 02-02-06, 07:12 PM	two words: PRESTIGE CLASS! the dragon disciple, acolyte of the fiend, and the greenstar adept, as well as other prestige classes WILL change your appearance. you will find many change-appearance-over-time prestige classes in the COMPLETE series and in the DMG. sorry if i sound rude

Warlock with background story that powers come from celestrial, fiendish, or draconic ancestry. flying from spells. DR from class. It has everything you ask for and more. You coulf alternatively create a variant Warlock class. I know of three variants offhand: Psionic, arcane, and Divine (celestial). Just make a draconic one wouldn't change much.
Demonicazura 02-02-06, 08:14 PM	i know all that stuff... i was just thinking about making a class... something kind of... i don't really know... i have to think more about it before i start asking for help... i suppose i could get what i wanted through lots of multiclassing... but i wanted a class somewhat like the monk but more exotic... well i guess ill just try making something up on my own
