| Hand_OF_Mystra12-05-05, 05:11 PM | Hi, I have heard over and over again on the boards that clerics are a strong class. But I just don't get it. I see a broad selection of not so great spells (with some exceptions). I am playing Living Greyhawk and have a dwarven Clr1/Rog1 who is taking his CLr2. His attributes are STR 13, Dex 11, Con 12, Int 10, Wis 16, Chr 12. He can take most core/ Races or Complete feats. What 3rd level feat should I take. I was thinking Maximize spell so that I can take Divine Metamagic at level 6 (Clr5/Rog1). I would be happy to use my turn attempts for something else but I only see Divine Spellpower which would give me an average of +1 caster level in return for using up a turn attempt and sometime I would decrease the caster level from a bad die roll. Any advice would be nice. He has invested in a good long sword and has weapon focus (long sword) from the War domain, but he attacks at +3 so I think Power Attack would be a waste as well. Does anyone have suggestions on a worthwhile feat for this guy? I realize this might be better off in the Char. Op. board but I could not tell which thanks |

Divine feats are the way to go, too. Abuse of Nightsticks, found in Libris Mortis, wich give you 4 more turning. And for the Cleric Spells, maybe you find them useless because none of them (or most) aren't direct offensive. Remember that a cleric's role is to buff and heal others, not to blast them with fireballs. Oh, and this thread does belong to CO boards. |
